upside down poncho is made from the neckline to the bottom
edge. Increases are made in the center front & back
around the twists.

CO
78 st. Join. K18, place marker on nd, K3,
place marker on nd, K36, place marker on nd, K18. Place
a marker to mark the beginning of each round & the
side seam.
R1: K
to marker, YO, slide marker to right nd, K3, slide marker
to right nd, YO, K to marker, YO, slide marker to right nd,
K3, slide marker to right nd, YO, K to marker, slide to right
nd.
R2:
K all.
R 3: K
to marker, YO, slide marker to right nd, twist & K3,
slide marker to right nd, YO, K to marker, YO, slide marker

Twists

Finishing
The
neckline is at the CO edge & has a crochet finish. Crochet
1 R of single crochet.
The
bottom edge at the BO edge has crochet & fringe. Crochet
1 R of single crochet. Crochet next row Rep *
1 single, skip 1 single from row before, 1 chain*.
Weave
in all yarn ends. |

For
the fringe, cut several pieces of yarn to be 10" each. The fringe will be attached to each
crochet chain stitch. Fold 1 fringe yarn in half. Place
fold on crochet hook. Take crochet hook through under
the chain & through the hole. Place the cut ends
of the fringe in the hook of crochet hook, and pull through
the chain stitch & fold of fringe. Rep for each
chain stitch around the bottom.
