Choose
a yarn & lace
pattern. Any
yarn will work. For
the lace pattern, choose something with vertical
eyelet lines. This
is where the cord will be threaded. If
you wish to make the shade without lace, make eyelets
for the cording following the pattern.
Make a swatch to get
a stitch gauge. You
need the stitch gauge in order to make the shade
fit your window.
This shade fits inside
the window frame. Measure
the desired length & width for the shade inside
the window frame. Add 4” to the width. The
shade will easily fit on a small spring rod.

the cord up the vertical eyelets. End
with the cord on the back.
Put
the spring rod through the top eyelet row. Put
the rod in place. Pull
the cords to draw the shade. Attach
beads or tassels to the cords. You
will need to buy something to wrap the cords around to keep
the shade drawn. You
